Capital Campaign

Building for the Future

The Union Gospel Mission of Grays Harbor has been serving the homeless and hurting in Grays Harbor and surrounding counties since 1938. We are the only rescue mission from the Straits of Juan de Fuca to the Columbia River.

Today, our main "hub" is 103 years old and in real need of renovation. Our current projects are designed to create a public parking area  and a Warehouse Building. Both have now been completed - check out the pictures below.

Parking Lot

This is what 403-405 East Heron in Aberdeen looked like before the project began.  Though this looks like one structure, it is actually two buildings, and the corner piece is the one slated for demolition

Demolition began on Tuesday, April 29, 2009, at 6:00 p.m.  Rhine, Inc. worked throughout the night to bring the building down safely.

Warehouse

In late Spring, 2009, Rognlin's Inc. of Aberdeen begins the new warehouse     directly behind the Union Gospel Mission facility and the new parking lot.

Construction of the warehouse  continued throughout the Summer and Fall of 2009.

The warehouse was completed in November 2009.  THANK YOU to all of  our many faithful donors for helping get this done!
